The Sun Devils Wear Prada hosted an event on Friday that appeared to be a simple fashion show, but it turned into so much more.
The night started out with displaying the looks we can own and wear from our campus bookstores and department stores here in Arizona. The show was produced by Wendy Smith and featured special guest and style expert Shari Braendel.

Smith’s goal was to create a show that would inspire young women to reveal self- worth through their own personal style.
To achieve this mission, two Arizona State organizations, Women of Worth (WOW Factor) and Man Up!, joined Smith and SDWP in co-hosting the nights festivities.
The show kicked off with a teaser featuring the clothing that can be found at Sun Devil Campus Stores to show the variety of options and to promote Sun Devil pride.

Before the main event, Braendel invited audience members up on stage for a personal style session. She explained the most flattering color pallets for various skin tones and eye color combinations, and the most flattering cuts for all body types.

Then came the final event. Students representing multiple ASU organizations modeled clothes from JC Penny, Old Navy, The Sun Devil Market Place and there was a special piece designed by one of the SDWP’s officers and worn by President Brenna Goodwin.

Having the opportunity to attend the premiere fashion event for 2015 that instills new fashion, useful tips, and body confidence was an experience that will not soon be forgotten.
