“P.S. I Still Love You” is the second in the “To All the Boys” film series, based upon books written by Jenny Han. The sequel focuses on a high-school couple, Laura Jean and Peter Kavinsky, as they navigate through a rough patch in the beginning of their relationship.
Lara Jean, a not-so-hopeless romantic, has never had a boyfriend before so she’s confused as to what girlfriends are “supposed” to do. And when one of Lara’s old crushes, John Ambrose, comes into the picture, Peter begins to worry about their relationship status.

Since the first movie in 2018, the character of Lara Jean has become somewhat of a fashion icon. In this new film, she wears a staple red dress by Rebecca Vallance paired with a classic double-buckle Mary Janes to her date with Peter.
This is one of the first scenes in the movie and is undoubtedly the most important for her — it is her very first date, after all! Her date with Peter features a fancy Italian restaurant and a trip to the park where they send lanterns into the sky, exactly like the scene from “Tangled” — swoon!
For Valentine’s day, Lara Jean sports a HVN dress paired with a cherry red headband. Headbands have been everywhere this spring, from being worn by influential fashion bloggers to celebrities in music videos. This isn’t the only time we see Lara Jean rocking a fun colored headband either as she continuously wears them throughout the series.
For their first Valentine’s Day together, Peter and Lara Jean get each other gifts to show their appreciation towards one another. Lara Jean makes Peter a specialized card from the heart and a delectable pastry that would make anyone drool.
Peter, on the other hand, gets Lara Jean a silver locket necklace and writes her a poem that’s not exactly from the heart, but still very special.
Tweed is quickly becoming a huge trend in fashion not just spring, but every season! Tweed continues to make appearances from boots to two-piece sets. Lara’s tweed shorts from Zara go well with her preppy ensemble in this scene.
This nostalgic scene is where Lara Jean sees John Ambrose for the first time since middle school after sending her love letter. As you can tell from the picture, she’s quite startled by his presence. This iconic look also features the same Mary Janes from her first date with Peter, paired with black sheer tights.

Another hot trend featured in “P.S. I Still Love You” is boyfriend jeans/wide-leg pants. Boyfriend jeans have been gaining popularity for years now, so it’s only fitting that they made it to the big screen. This retro-chic look is perfect for Laura Jean because it combines preppy, modern trends with a bit of a retro feel by way of this mustard yellow sweater vest.
During this scene, the two past lovers are cleaning out a space to throw a party, moments before John Ambrose discovers an old love letter. This finding inspires him to finally give Lara Jean’s old love letter back, but only temporarily. This is the scene where the love triangle truly begins!

One spring trend that is rumored to be everywhere this season is tulle, specifically pastel tulle. Lara Jean’s iconic teal blue dress from her dance scene with John Ambrose gives off major fairytale vibes, intensifying the scene. The dress by J. Mendel is perfect for a magical moment such as this and definitely makes her look like a princess.
This scene is probably the second most important in the entire film for it’s when Lara Jean realizes that she truly does love Peter. After her magical night spent with John Ambrose, Peter and Lara Jean race to each other and Peter says, “Break my heart Covey; break my heart into a thousand pieces” and they are reunited once again.
“P.S. I Still Love You” did a great job of diving deeper into Lara Jean’s personal style. From preppy collared sweaters to mustard yellow sweater vests, her style is truly all-encompassing and has a modern-day feel that we just can’t resist.
