In light that tomorrow is that day (we know you’re either dreading it, anticipating it, or seeing that movie, we thought we would have some fun with our Friday Favorites this week to highlight the funny, sweet and memorable moments for Valentine’s Day. Enjoy! Love, Alyssa, Madi, and Emily.
The first time you say those three words. I read this one and couldn’t help but laugh, then think it was pretty cute!
4. “I don’t really know why, but I just blurted out, ‘I love you’…but in Russian.”
“My first ‘I love you’ was to my first boyfriend in my freshman year of college. We had been dating for a week and we were sort of snuggling in a movie theater. I don’t really know why, but I just blurted out, ‘I love you’…but in Russian. I think I wanted to downplay the moment, and even though he didn’t speak a word of the language, he looked at me and said, ‘I think I know what you just said.’ A few days later, he told me he loved me too. A part of me definitely thought we said those things too quickly but in all honesty, the feelings we shared were very genuine and as crazy as it was, it felt strangely normal.”
Some of the 14 anonymous anecdotes are touching, others awkward, others you’ll have to read for yourself. Enjoy the Buzzfeed article and all it’s glory here. -Alyssa

Favorite Valentine’s Day Dress:
I absolutely adore this dress from Nasty Gal. I think the red lace and nude mesh are such a perfect pairing and compliment each other so well. This dress is sexy and unexpected and shows just the right amount of skin. What girl wouldn’t want to strut around in this daring little number on Valentine’s Day? I know I would.- Madi

Favorite Flower Vase:
My imaginary boyfriend (who is a cross between Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and Professor Snape) should definitely give me this gorgeous vase for Valentine’s Day. Though I don’t really give a hoot about the holiday, I am quite into anatomical hearts lately. Currently, I await the arrival of a notebook I just ordered with one printed on the cover. I’ll probably write morbid anti-Valentine’s Day poems in it. -Emily
