You have your room decked out with pumpkins and spider webbing all over the walls, your costume is all planned and Halloween is finally here! What you don’t have; however, is a way to paint your nails in preparation for the crazy fun-filled holiday. Here are some adorable nail art ideas to get you in the Halloween spirit!
Pumpkin
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of orange nail polish—make sure to let your nails dry before starting the nail art!
Step 2: Dip the tip of a toothpick into a black nail polish. Using the dipped toothpick, make two small triangles in the middle of your nail. These will be the eyes of the pumpkin! Tip: The less polish you have on the toothpick, the easier it is to make the shapes.
Step 3: Dip the toothpick end into black nail polish once more. Make a jagged line underneath the two eyes, at the tip of your nail. This will be the mouth of the pumpkin!
Step 4: Almost done! Dip the tip of another toothpick into a green nail polish. Using the dipped toothpick, make an uneven line across the base of your nail. This will be the top of the pumpkin!
Tip: Make tiny vertical marks coming off of the line to look like pumpkin leaves.
Spiderweb
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of purple nail polish.
Step 2: Dip the tip of a toothpick into a sparkly, silver polish. Using the dipped toothpick, make three lines extending from the left corner of your nail.
Step 3: Still using the dipped toothpick, connect the lines with either straight or U-shaped lines to create the web!
Blood-Spatter
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of black nail polish.
Step 2: Dip the tip of a toothpick in red nail polish, and make three random dots around the middle of your nail.
Step 3: With the same dipped toothpick, make an even line along the tip of your nail. Then connect the dots to the line.
Candy Corn
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of orange nail polish.
Step 2: Use the brush of a yellow nail polish to make a straight line across the tip of your nail. Be sure to wipe off most of the polish so that it doesn’t apply too thick.
Step 3: Do the same thing as above, using a white nail polish brush, making a line across the base of your nail.
Frankenstein
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of green nail polish.
Step 2: Dip the tip of a toothpick into black nail polish. Create a horizontal line at the base of your nail, with three vertical lines running perpendicular through it.
Step 3: Dip the tip of another toothpick into yellow nail polish. Make two small dots in the middle of your nail (these will be Frankie’s eyes!).
Step 4: Using the toothpick dipped in black nail polish, make a jagged line at the tip of your nail.
Step 5: Finally, add two smaller black dots to the previous yellow dots.
Moon
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of a vibrant purple nail polish.
Step 2: Dip the tip of a toothpick into yellow nail polish. Using the tip, make three random small dots on your nail.
Step 3: Still using the dipped toothpick, make a half-moon shape on the top corner of your nail.
Step 4: Dip the tip of another toothpick into white nail polish. Using the tip, make two cloud shapes by clumping multiple random specs on your nail.
Cat
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of yellow nail polish.
Step 2: Using the brush of a black nail polish, make a half circle shape on the tip of your nail.
Step 3: Dip the tip of a toothpick into the black nail polish. Using the tip, make two small triangles at the top of the half circle. These will be the kitty’s ears!
Step 3: Dip the tip of another toothpick into white nail polish. Make two large dots on the half circle using the toothpick tip.
Step 4: Finally, dip the tip of a toothpick into green nail polish. Make a thick vertical line on each of the previous white dots to make the cat eyes!
Skeleton
Step 1: Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of black nail polish.
Step 2: Using the brush of a white nail polish, make a thick square starting from the tip of your nail and ending at the center of your nail.
Step 3: Still using the brush, make a circle that touches the top of the square.
Step 4: Using the tip of a toothpick dipped in black nail polish, make three vertical lines close to the tip of your nail, on the square.
Step 5: Using the same toothpick, make an upside-down V at the center of your nail.
Step 6: Almost there! Now make two large black dots above the V to act as the eyes of the skeleton.
