With spring rolling right around the corner, it looks like things are starting to heat up. We must say goodbye to our favorite winter coats and say hello to short-shorts and bikinis! While some of us, too attached to our most-prized winter treasures, are finding the transition into spring quite difficult, the rest of us are ready to shop for new trendy spring pieces.
Drawing inspiration from the 2012 spring runways, we have quite a bit to choose from. This season is all about bright and fun clothing. Some things that are really in this season are unique prints, bold color blocking and pastel shades.
Color blocking is a fun and simple way to get dressed. It allows you to experiment with different colors to create original looks that look clean and effortless. Don’t be afraid to step out in your brightest colors. Throw on a bold solid-color dress and accessorize with a different colored clutch and nude shoes and you will be rocking the perfect spring outfit.
Bold prints are everywhere this season. Bright florals, paisley and geometric shapes are just a few of the prints standing out this spring. Whether it be on a blazer or pair of pants, a unique print can most definitely spice up one’s outfit. The perfect print should be paired with something that is very simple so that it will stand out in just the right way.
An easy way to transition into spring is by wearing pastel shades. Pastel shades look best when mixing and matching a few different shades together. Light shades of pink and yellow will have you feeling young and girly while soft shades of blue and green will have you feeling cool and breezy in the midst of the spring sun.
