The second day of New York Fashion Week continued to bring beauty and style to the fabulous streets of New York with collections from Rebecca Taylor, Rebecca Minkoff, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Miller and Charlotte Ronson. The highlighted shows took place throughout the day, causing the fashion elites to follow suit from location to location. Though the thought may have crossed your mind that the fashionista/os were wearing oh so comfortable shoes and bundled up, I have to say that the extremely cold temperatures have not hindered the fashion scene both on and off the runway. Here are a few of my favorites from the collections on Friday:
Rebecca Taylor
The darkly colored collection was warmed by unique details as well as striking embellishments. The range of styles varied from loosely draped cocktail dresses to snuggly yet chic sweaters and velour pants.
Rebecca Minkoff
The bronzed beauties that walked in Minkoff’s show stood out clad in warm hues as well as bold styles. The fabulous laying added depth to each of the looks while the models’ loosely strewn hair kept the feel relaxed.
Tommy Hilfiger – Menswear
The structured jackets featured sleeves that were uniquely color-blocked and double breasted. The men also carried oversized bags as accessories and wore pants ranging from fitted slacks to leather.
Nicole Miller
Warmed prints were unique fixtures during the latest collection from Nicole Miller. A striking black jumpsuit could stop traffic along with the tassels which were swinging from multiple pieces.
Charlotte Ronson
Who knew olive could look so good? Charlotte Ronson apparently, as the bold hue stood out among the looks. Bold tops were modeled with light skirts creating a flirty yet sophisticated structure throughout the show.
Though each of the collections ranged from texture to style, one thing was surely cohesive throughout the day – my drool from runway to runway never ceased.
