The last day of Paris Fashion Week showed some of the biggest names in the industry. Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Elie Saab debuted collections that emulated fall in each of their signature styles.
Louis Vuitton
The Louis Vuitton show pulled into station (literally!) at 10:00 a.m., with models disembarking a full-sized train onto the runway. Baggage men trailed them; carrying their suitcases, and bringing the Vuitton show backs to its original luggage roots. Marc Jacobs’ impressive collection featured mostly coats and long dresses in fall colors, accessorized with feathered hats and leather gloves. Jacobs transported his audience back to a more luxurious time and had us all wishing for our very own Louis Vuitton luggage and luggage carrier.
Miu Miu
Pantsuits flooded Paris as Miu Miu showed a collection full of menswear characterized by bright colors and loud prints. While many of the suits seemed a little too much for the everyday woman to pull off, worn as separates, the coats or pants would be a great addition to any working woman’s wardrobe.
Elie Saab
The Elie Saab collection was full of a wide range of pieces, from trench coats to gowns and everything in between. Viewers were really taken on a journey at this show and you were never really sure what the next look was going to be. It started with neutrals in classic shapes and then the show turned a bit darker. Lace dresses with cutouts and deep hues transitioned into an ending worthy of the Paris runway. A long line of sparkling dresses served as the firework finale to the Saab show and to Paris Fashion Week.
