If you’ve ever been to Paris, you feel a surge of fashion satisfaction at the mere mention of the most spectacular city in the world. Fashion is the lifeblood of the culture, and Paris Fashion Week is the time when the most stylish people in the world gather and watch the industry’s finest; nothing compares to French fashion. It was another beautiful morning as the year’s freshest collections, including Stella McCartney, Chloé and Saint Laurent, lit up Paris runways.
Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney redefined and modernized fresh in her spring/summer 2013 collection. All her looks emanated the chic comfort and hitched on bold, clean and season-transforming colors. Masculinity met playful femininity with sheer paneling and subtle but chic sportswear inspiration.
Chloé
Chloé kept Monday morning of Paris Fashion Week (and their 60th anniversary) fresh with delicate and refreshing looks that had touch of playful oriental-inspiration. Graceful dresses full of princess-inspired touches and volume defined the light-heartedness and charm of a Parisian girl—capturing once again with their collection, who Chloé is.
Saint Laurent
Saint Laurent, like the name itself, felt like there was something missing—especially for spring. Despite risk, looks fell a little short of spring in Paris. Though distinctly gothic-inspired French, the darkness, midnight black lace and floor-touching capes put a shadow on Saint Laurent’s collection.
