The Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix was full of life Friday night when Phoenix Fashion Week brought their fifth annual Spring Into Fashion show to the location for the first time. For the event, five top Arizona stylists paired with five top boutiques and each duo created a unique show that brought something different to the runway.
Rochelle York with Clothes Minded
Arizona personal stylist Rochelle York styled Clothes Minded, bringing lots of color to the runway. Many of the outfits showed bright jewel-toned colors paired with neutrals, providing some very wearable spring looks. The nude heels and gold accessories really added the perfect touch throughout the collection.
Yekatherina Bruner with Allie Ollie
Mixed patterns, colors and textures brought Yekatherina Bruner’s styling of Allie Ollie to life on the runway. By mixing patterns, she entered a realm that many women are hesitant to try, but the looks showcased ways to style patterns in a very accessible way. The collection showed lots of great jumpsuits and loose fitting printed pants, which are a must-have for this spring season.
Vanessa Renee with Fresh Start Treasures
The pastel pairings by Vanessa Renee and Fresh Start Treasures showed classic spring elegance. There were some really nice mixed textures shown in the collection and pleats seemed to dominate the runway. The best part is: all of the outfits shown were under $20 from the boutique.
Jessica Hunter with 7 Diamonds
Jessica Hunter, also known as the fashion blogger Chic Disheveled, teamed up with 7 Diamonds to bring great menswear looks to the runway. Her looks showed how guys should layer to create unique outfits that are also easy to wear. There were lots of great plaid details throughout the collection, and even some colored corduroy, but one of the best touches was the “Célfie” beanie that one of the models rocked down the runway.
Jenesis Laforcarde with Divaz Boutique
The final show of the Spring Into Fashion event certainly did not disappoint. The collection showcased swimwear by the winner of Phoenix Fashion Week’s 2013 Emerging Designer of the Year, Dolcessa Swimwear. Jenesis Laforcarde styled many great looks for Divaz Boutique with lots of bright colors and statement necklaces. The show included color blocking, metallic accessories and strong patterns, and it ended the event on a note higher than the models’ high ponies.
